3.3 The following individuals are not eligible: employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives of the Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries and affiliates, and its advertising, promotional and prize-supply agencies (collectively, the “Contest Parties”), and the members of the immediate family (parents, spouse or partner, children and siblings, whether or not related by blood or marriage) and household of any of them, whether or not related.
3.4 The Sponsor may require proof of identity, age, residency or eligibility at any time. Failure to provide satisfactory proof may result in disqualification. How to Enter
4.1 How to enter. Entries may be obtained during the Contest Period in the ways described in this Section 4. Each entry method may be used only once per person, and all entries must be made by the same individual using the same email address. Entries are credited to the individual named in the account or form associated with that email address.
4.2 Newsletter Sign-Up (1 entry). Visit the Contest Page or the Website and sign up for the Sponsor’s email newsletter by providing your first and last name, a valid email address and your province or territory of residence, confirming your agreement to these Rules, and giving your express consent to receive the newsletter. You will receive one (1) entry. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time; unsubscribing will not cancel an entry already earned.
4.3 Starter Account Sign-Up (3 entries). Visit the Website and register for a Starter Account by completing all required fields and confirming your agreement to these Rules. You will receive three (3) entries. No payment is required to register for a Starter Account.
4.4 Paid Subscription (10 Bonus Entries). Purchase a Paid Subscription on the Website during the Contest Period and confirm your agreement to these Rules. You will receive ten (10) Bonus Entries. Bonus Entries earned through a Paid Subscription will not be revoked if you later cancel the subscription in accordance with its terms.
4.5 No-Purchase Entry (10 Bonus Entries). Without making any purchase or registering for any account, you may obtain ten (10) Bonus Entries by sending an email to hello@asknelle.ai with the subject line “Nelle Top 10 Giveaway – No-Purchase Entry” that includes: (a) your first and last name, email address, telephone number, and province or territory of residence; (b) a statement that you agree to these Rules; and (c) an original, unaided statement of at least fifty (50) words describing your top feature wish for an AI platform for your legal needs. A No-Purchase Entry has the same value and is treated in the same way as a Paid Subscription for all purposes of the Contest.
4.6 Bonus Entry limit. Each person may receive Bonus Entries only once, by either a Paid Subscription or a No-Purchase Entry, but not both. As a result, the maximum number of entries any one person may receive is fourteen (14): one (1) for the newsletter sign-up, three (3) for the Starter Account sign-up and ten (10) Bonus Entries. An Existing Member (as defined in Section 4.7) may receive a maximum of thirteen (13) entries: three (3) Existing Member Entries and ten (10) Bonus Entries.
4.7 Existing subscribers and account holders. If, at the start of the Contest Period, you are already a newsletter subscriber, a Starter Account holder or the holder of a paid subscription plan (an “Existing Member”), you may receive three (3) entries (“Existing Member Entries”) by sending an email to hello@asknelle.ai during the Contest Period, from the email address associated with your newsletter subscription or account, with the subject line “Nelle Top 10 Giveaway – Existing Member Entry”, that includes your first and last name and your province or territory of residence, and confirms that you wish to be entered into the Contest and that you agree to these Rules. Existing Member Entries are received in place of, and not in addition to, the entries described in Sections 4.2 and 4.3, which are available only for new newsletter sign-ups and new Starter Account registrations made during the Contest Period. Existing Members, including holders of an existing paid subscription plan, may also obtain Bonus Entries through the No-Purchase Entry.
4.8 Eligible entries. To be eligible, every entry must be received during the Contest Period. The Sponsor’s computer or server is the official timekeeping device for the Contest. Proof of sending or submitting an entry is not proof of receipt.Entry Conditions
5.1 All entries are subject to verification. Entries that are late, incomplete, illegible, inaccurate, made using false, fraudulent or temporary email addresses or identities, generated by script, macro, bot or other automated means, or otherwise not made in accordance with these Rules will be void.
5.2 Any attempt to obtain more than the maximum number of entries permitted, including by using multiple email addresses, identities or accounts, will result in disqualification of all of that person’s entries.
5.3 In case of a dispute about who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address associated with it. The authorized account holder is the person assigned the email address by the provider responsible for that domain. The selected entrant may be required to prove that they are the authorized account holder.
5.4 No-Purchase Entry statements must be the Entrant’s original work and must not contain material that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, infringing or otherwise objectionable, as determined by the Sponsor. Statements must describe needs in general terms only and must not include any confidential, privileged or client information, or any personal information about another individual. Statements will not be judged; any compliant statement qualifies for Bonus Entries.Prize
6.1 One (1) prize is available to be won (the “Prize”), consisting of one (1) Air Canada gift card with a value of $250 Canadian dollars. The approximate retail value of the Prize is $250 CAD.
6.2 The Prize must be accepted as awarded. It is not transferable or assignable, and it cannot be exchanged for cash, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. If the Prize, or any component of it, becomes unavailable for any reason, the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater retail value, including cash.
6.3 Use of the gift card is subject to the terms and conditions of the gift card issuer, including any restrictions on use, travel availability and blackout periods. The Sponsor is not responsible for the gift card once delivered, including if it is lost, stolen or used without authorization, and it is not responsible for travel arrangements, taxes, fees, fuel surcharges or any costs not covered by the gift card value.
6.4 The Prize will be delivered to the confirmed winner by email to the address associated with the winning entry within approximately four (4) weeks after the winner is confirmed.Winner Selection
7.1 On November 16, 2026 at approximately 12:00 p.m. MT, at the Sponsor’s offices in Calgary, Alberta, one (1) eligible entry will be selected by random draw from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will be conducted by an employee of the Sponsor using a random selection method.
7.2 Odds of winning. The odds of being selected depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. Each entry has an equal chance of being selected. For example, an Entrant with fourteen (14) entries out of 1,400 total eligible entries would have a 1 in 100 chance of being selected.Winner Notification and Prize Claim
8.1 The Sponsor will make at least three (3) attempts to contact the selected entrant by email (and, where a telephone number was provided, by telephone) within two (2) business days after the draw.
8.2 Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must:
(a) respond to the Sponsor within five (5) business days after the first notification attempt;
(b) correctly answer, without mechanical, electronic or other assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered online at a mutually convenient time; and
(c) sign and return, within five (5) business days after receiving it, the Sponsor’s declaration and release form (the “Release”), which confirms compliance with these Rules, acceptance of the Prize as awarded, and releases the Released Parties (as defined in Section 9.1) from liability.
8.3 If the selected entrant cannot be reached, fails to respond within the required time, incorrectly answers the skill-testing question, fails to return the signed Release on time, is found to be ineligible, or otherwise fails to comply with these Rules, the selected entrant will be disqualified and will forfeit the Prize. In that case, the Sponsor may, at its discretion and time permitting, select an alternate entrant by random draw from the remaining eligible entries, and that alternate entrant will be subject to the same requirements.
8.4 The odds of the Prize being awarded will not be affected by any delay. The Sponsor will award the Prize without undue delay.Release of Liability
9.1 By entering the Contest, each Entrant releases and holds harmless the Sponsor, the other Contest Parties, the gift card issuer, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, actions, damages, losses, injuries or costs of any kind arising out of or in connection with: (a) participation in the Contest; (b) the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Prize; or (c) any travel or activity undertaken using the Prize.
9.2 The Released Parties are not responsible for: (a) lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, damaged or corrupted entries; (b) any technical failure or malfunction of telephone lines, computer systems, servers, internet service providers, software, websites or email; (c) any error in the administration of the Contest or in the processing of entries; (d) any printing, typographical or other errors in these Rules or any Contest materials; or (e) any damage to any person’s computer or device resulting from participation in the Contest.
9.3 Nothing in these Rules limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.Indemnification
10.1 Each Entrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) the Entrant’s breach of these Rules; (b) any content submitted by the Entrant, including any claim that it infringes the rights of a third party; or (c) the Entrant’s fraudulent or unlawful conduct in connection with the Contest.Privacy and Personal Information
11.1 What we collect. In connection with the Contest, the Sponsor collects the personal information you provide when you enter, such as your name, email address, telephone number, province or territory of residence, account details, entry statement and, for the selected entrant, age, mailing address and any information needed to verify eligibility.
11.2 Why we collect it. The Sponsor collects, uses and discloses this information to: (a) administer the Contest, including recording entries, verifying eligibility, conducting the draw, contacting the selected entrant and awarding the Prize; (b) comply with applicable laws; and (c) review No-Purchase Entry statements, in aggregated or de-identified form, to understand the legal needs of its users and inform the development of its products and services; and (d) where you have separately signed up for the newsletter, a Starter Account or a Paid Subscription, provide those services in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy. The Sponsor will not use your personal information for marketing purposes unless you have given separate consent, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.
11.3 Service providers. The Sponsor may use third-party service providers (for example, email, hosting and contest administration providers) to process personal information on its behalf. Some of these service providers may be located outside Canada, including in the United States, and your personal information may therefore be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions and accessible to authorities there. Questions about the Sponsor’s use of service providers outside Canada may be directed to the Privacy Contact below.
11.4 Winner information. With the selected winner’s consent, the Sponsor may publish the winner’s first name, last initial, and province or territory of residence in connection with the Contest. Granting this consent is not a condition of receiving the Prize. The Sponsor may also disclose the winner’s identity where required by law.
11.5 Retention and safeguards. The Sponsor protects personal information using security safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity and retains Contest entry information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes above and to meet legal or business requirements, after which it is securely destroyed or de-identified.
11.6 Your rights. Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal information, or withdraw your consent, by contacting the Privacy Contact below. Withdrawing consent to the use of your information for Contest administration before the draw may make you unable to participate.
11.7 Privacy Contact. Questions or requests concerning your personal information may be directed to: privacy@asknelle.ai/privacy. For more information, see the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at www.asknelle.ai. The Sponsor handles personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada) and the Personal Information Protection Act (Alberta), as applicable.Sponsor’s Rights and General Conditions
12.1 The Sponsor may, subject only to the approval of any applicable regulatory authority, modify, suspend or terminate the Contest, or amend these Rules, in whole or in part, without prior notice, if any fraud, technical failure, virus, error or other factor beyond its reasonable control interferes with the proper administration of the Contest as contemplated by these Rules. Any change will be posted on the Contest Page. If the Contest is terminated early, the Sponsor may award the Prize by random draw from among all eligible entries received before termination.
12.2 The Sponsor may disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, acts in violation of these Rules, or acts in an unsportsmanlike, disruptive or harassing manner. Any attempt to deliberately damage the Website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may violate criminal and civil laws, and the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12.3 The Sponsor will not be required to award more prizes than the number stated in these Rules. If, due to an error, more prize claims are received than the number of prizes available, the Sponsor reserves the right to conduct a random draw among all eligible claimants to award the Prize.
12.4 Entering the Contest does not create any obligation for the Entrant to maintain a newsletter subscription, Starter Account or Paid Subscription, and the terms of any such service are governed by their own separate terms of service.
12.5 Any decision of the Sponsor relating to the Contest is final and binding on all Entrants, without right of appeal.Governing Law and Disputes
13.1 The Contest and these Rules are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Each Entrant submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Alberta sitting in Calgary for any dispute arising out of or relating to the Contest, except where applicable consumer protection law provides otherwise.
13.2 If any provision of these Rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
13.3 In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between these Rules and any statement in Contest advertising, point-of-sale or other Contest materials, these Rules will prevail.
13.4 These Rules are available on the Contest Page and by email request to hello@asknelle.ai.
